MAUI RIBS

Serves three to four

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 1/4 cup dark soya sauce
  • 1/4 cup liquid honey
  • 2-3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Procedure

Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl. Use a good quality dark soya sauce and do not add salt. Soya sauce contains sufficient salt, no additional salt is necessary.

 

MAUI RIBS

  • 3-4 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Procedure

Cover the beef short ribs with your marinade for 6-8 hours or overnight. Cook the marinaded ribs on a hot grill for 2-3 minutes per side. Sprinkle with fresh sesame seeds and serve with salad, grilled vegetables or whatever you prefer.
